Position Overview

The Marketing Manager will lead all marketing efforts for the company.

The main emphasis for the role is on digital marketing and lead generation, but will encompass all core marketing functions including PR, thought leadership, sales support, partner marketing, event planning and branding/advertising. The Marketing Manager will participate in the development and execution of our B2B marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

General

  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Prepare and adhere to the Marketing budget
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Manage tactical activities, timelines and deliverables to successfully track marketing program metrics and ROI
  • Co-ordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Analyze potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing
  • Analyze competitors and market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Gather and analyze customer insight
  • Define and implement consistent brand and product messages to the market, including responsibility for directing updates to company website
  • Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing staff and oversee their daily activities
  • When needed, management of external partners

Digital Marketing and Lead Generation

  • Together with SVP Sales and Marketing determine lead generation targets for digital channels, devise and implement digital marketing plan
  • Define and implement a multi-channel lead generation process which uses the best combination of lead methods (email campaigns, cold calling, SEO/SEM, webinars, trade shows, thought leadership, referrals, etc.)
  • Create compelling direct response marketing messages designed to drive lead generation
  • Define and implement ObjectWave’s social media strategy
  • Execute SEO/SEM strategies including updates of company website in support of lead generation targets

Sales Support

  • Develop sales and marketing materials including presentations, collateral, and communications to support client growth and acquisition; involves taking the lead on both content and design
  • Work with customers and partners to produce customer testimonials and case studies
  • Coordinate and participate in responding to RFPs and developing compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Develop and curate a library of content used across projects and functions
  • Leverage CRM data and help in enforcing CRM usage guidelines
  • Ensure ObjectWave’s differentiators/USP’s are communicated effectively in all sales materials
  • Help ObjectWave to better understand the customer buy cycle and identify key influencers and stakeholders involved at each stage
  • Understand the nuance of audience segmentation and persona development, and devise marketing strategies to effectively reach key prospect targets

Qualifications

  • Significant experience and success in B2B lead generation, preferably in the software and/or ecommerce industry
  • Significant experience and proven success in digital marketing
  • Experience with HubSpot for marketing automation and CRM
  • Ability to think strategically and take ownership of projects and their results
  • First-rate networking skills to promote ObjectWave in the industry
  • Infectious passion for results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships
  • Creativity – proven ability to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions to any situation
  • Outstanding project/time management skills
  • New business development and sales support experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Hands-on SEO/SEM/AdWords experience
  • Management experience preferred, proven leadership skills
  • Experience running a marketing department, a veteran of marketing planning and budgeting
  • Experience in managing external partners preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • Minimum 6 years professional experience in B2B marketing, strategic marketing planning and lead generation – online and offline
    (8+ years of experience preferred)
  • Fluency in Spanish is a preference for this role. Previous marketing experience targeting Mexican/Latino/Spanish-speaking B2B audiences is preferred.
